Life is Getting Away From Me

It has been way to long since I posted anything! Blogging like just about every other hobby of mine takes a backseat to life, and lately life has been busy. Simon is now nine months old, he weighs almost 25 lbs and is 30.25 inches long. He is also on ear infection number 5 since december which means we are getting ear tubes on June the 8th. Other noteables since my last post, he is crawling all over the house and if I walk towards him when he is getting to close to somewhere he is not supposed to be he moves faster. As of yesterday he is pulling up on things all around the house, guess I will be looking for furniature corner cusions and moving all the breakables to higher shelves. Oh and how could I forget his first 2 teeth actually broke thru today!! Finally all that drooling is paying off. It is so amazing to watch how he is growing and changing every day.
Tarabeth took some 9 month photos for me, here are a few of my favorites. Thanks Tarabeth!

Another First

Eight and a half months, where has all the time gone. I truely does seem like just yesterday we brought his little lanky self home. We were nervous, excited, happy, scared, and more in love with each other and our new little boy than you can imagine. That first night turned into two, into 2 weeks, 2 months, and he is now almost 9 months old. The next thing I know he will be a year old (which I am already planning the party to celebrate, chalk it up to my tyea A everything always planned out to a T personality) and walking and talking.

We have had yet another first in the last week, actually a few firsts. Simon has started forward movement! He hasen't quite mastered the hand and knee coordination but he is moving in a forward direction by pushing off on his toes. I was so excited to get to see him do this. Yes I know that it only means my life is going to get more crazy, always watching where he goes and wondering what he will get into next, but it is so exciting to watch him grow and change.

Our other first this week was Simon's first Easter, or as I like to refer to it, his first Resurrection Sunday! He made it thru church and after enjoyed pulling apart his easter basket. It was pretty cute to watch him play with the plastic blue grass at the bottom of the basket. Here are a few pics of Simon and his basket.

He seems to be feeling better from his ear infection which is good. I absolutely hate it when he is not feeling well, it just breaks my heart.

Until next time...
